In Ephesians 6: 10-18 describes the armor of God as a spiritual suit of armor designed to protect us against the temptations of Satan. The armor is comprised of six elements: The 'belt of truth' helps us to have integrity in our lives. - The 'Breastplate of Righteousness' protects our hearts which are susceptible to the wickedness of this world, - The 'Gospel of Peace' is symbolized by sturdy, protective sandals, allowing us to side step Satans obstacles, - The 'Shield of Faith' turns aside Satan's flaming arrows of doubt. - The 'Helmet of Salvation' is vital protection for our minds, and our heads where all our thoughts and knowledge resides. - The 'Sword of the Spirit' represents the Bible, our weapon against Satan. All of these items make up the 'armor of God, our protection against advances of Satan.
