jarai01 answered the question How to reset computer settings? Right click on the computer screen. At the bottom click "Properties"A box will appear with five tabs at the top. Go to "Setttings" on the far right and click the tab. Changing the resolution changes the width and length of the screen. I have my color at 32-bit.Go to "Advanced" at the bottom right and click. A box will open with two rows of tabs at the top."General" - make sure you click the circle that says "ask me before applying new settings" so you cannot make any accidental changes."Monitor" - I have mine set at 75 Hertz. Changing this settings can really mess up your computer performance. Most monitors come with a book telling you what the proper settings are. Follow your instruction manual or risk burning out your monitor. Finally, just click "OK" at the bottom and the first box reappears and click "OK". The other tabs in the first box allow you to change the time before the monitor automatically shuts off under "Screensave" and "Power", change the screensaver "Desktop", or change the box/border colors "Appearance".If this does not fix your settings, you can try to do a System Restore. Go to "Start" at bottom left and click, then "Control Panel", then "Performance and Maintenance", "System" and then tab to "System Restore" at top left.
