Nobody can get anything by doing nothing, and that includes money. You don't say how much money you need to replace, nor how old you are. My advice is to be upfront with your parents and at the same time offer some solution as to how you plan to pay it back. If you have thought about solutions, and admit your mistake, before they find out, things will be a lot easier for you.
