Nature has it's own way of telling an animal (humans included) don't live here, I can't support you. Humans have developed a habit of ignoring that.

Wealthy countries can adequately bypass nature in that respect with intensive agriculture and buying in food from elsewhere and using expensive drugs and medical tratments. Some others can't.

If you can't afford artificial life support, don't live and breed somewhere that needs it, other animals don't.
