Please follow the below instruction if you are using twitter for iPhone
1. Tap the "More" tab in the lower left corner.
2. Tap "Accounts & Settings".
3. Tap the "Edit" button
4. Tap the red minus sign next to your account name
5. Tap the "Remove" button.

press the ... go to accounts and settings, click edit, press the red circle next to your pic, and press remove :)

Worked on iPhone4. Thank you! Was driving me bonkers. I would have thought hitting delete next to our profile would delete our account. I guess a 'log out' button was just too difficult? Perhaps this is why the app only has a two star rating in iTunes... Thanks again :)
