ShoeDazzle Makes a Dazzle of $40 million

ShoeDazzle , the site selling shoes online by subscription, has announced a fundraiser additional $ 40 million from Andreesen Horowitz, the investment fund by Marc Andreesen and Ben Horowitz. This new contribution is now the total amount raised to $ 60 million. The original investors, Polaris Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, also participated in this new fundraiser.

ShoeDazzle was co-founded by Kim Kardashian, the sultry star of American television. The site has adopted a sales model since the original is by subscription only, in addition to a personalized recommendation system. Specifically, the site offers a subscription for $ 39.95 per month which entitles the holder to buy a pair of shoes but also a bag or a jewel among the personal recommendations sent monthly by the designers of the site. The concept of ShoeDazzle has already attracted nearly 3 million members.
