What is the strategy of Christine Lagarde to win the post of Director General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)? Building on … Twitter!

The current French Minister of Economy has indeed opened an account on Twitter @ lagarde_imf in which it invites users to support his campaign to succeed Dominique Strauss-Kahn to head the IMF. “Follow my campaign for the-post of Managing Director of the IMF,” she wrote as an introduction to his account.

For now, 415 “followers” are keeping track of the schedule Lagarde. It discovers what she told Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, there are only a few hours, or she had lunch with Brazilian Finance Minister Guido Mantaga. Already, fifty tweets were posted by employees of the French Minister.
